FALL MOOD: how to "cozy up" your home

Rainy days, cool nights, holidays and football… Fall season is a perfect time to "cozy up" and fill the house with warm, nature inspired, autumn colors adding visual interest to your space.

Here are a few tips on how to decorate your home to create the "fall mood":

Put up a fall-inspired wreath on the front door (you can get a ready made one or do-it-yourself).

Add a vase with a tree branch or create a centerpiece with twigs from your own backyard to bring nature inside.

Switch out throws and pillows: bring in different sizes, plaid patterns & cozy textures all in harvest hues of gold, rust and yellow to create an inviting and sophisticated space. Throw in some fall scented candles to set the mood and add a warm glow.

Who does not like to cozy up next to the fireplace with a warm cup of tea and a book?

Before lighting up for the season make sure to have the firebox inspected.

These simple updates and tweaks will help you create a more cozy and inviting atmosphere for the upcoming holidays.
