THINGS WE LIKE - Terrarium DIY
Terrariums are a great option when it comes to styling your home. As for how beautiful and intricate as they look, it’s actually a lot easier to make and maintain than you think. The best part of doing it yourself, is the fact that you don’t need a green thumb for this project. It’s a bit like a blank canvas; you can get so creative with designing your own little ecosystem!

Here’s a quick guide on how to create your own little open terrarium
SELECT A CONTAINER
You can use any glass jar or bowl.
PICK YOUR PLANTS
Try planting cacti, air plants, aloe or hen & chicks- these plants require more air circulation making them perfect for an open terrarium.
ORDER OF LAYERS
Add a layer of stone or pebbles at the bottom, a layer of activated charcoal, and soil on top- this order is crucial if you want to create a proper drainage system.
PLANT & DECORATE
Add your plants and decorations- arrange them to your desire!
MAINTENANCE
Open terrariums require occasional maintenance. Make sure to place them in moderate to indirect sunlight, and lightly spray your terrarium with water about every two weeks.
